The Picnic Shower
The week before leaving So Cal, five of my good friends (Sem Wives!) blessed me with a baby shower at Griffith Park. To add a little excitement, I was blindfolded and lead from the car to the picnic spot. They had considered blindfolding me during the car trip, but decided against it, since I was still feeling a bit nauseous. When they removed the blindfold, I was delighted to find an enchanting picnic spread, including sandwiches, fruit salad, couscous salad, Korean beverages and several delicious desserts. As decorations, they had cut out several felt pink and brown baby footprints, which they proceeded to ceremoniously sprinkle over me like confetti. They additionally blessed me with a sweet card and generous gift card. It was such a unique, memorable, and beautiful shower, and it will forever go on record as my very first baby shower…and what a lovely first! Thank you, Vanessa, Priscilla, Natasha, SunMi and Ruby! I miss you guys so much, and I am SO grateful that God brought us together this past year!
P.S. And thanks for the pictures!
